Obituary for Jon Cyrus "Cy" Hill

Jon Cyrus "Cy"  Hill
Cy Hill, 68, Allouez, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. He was born on April 3, 1948 in Redfield, South Dakota, to the late Vincent and Evelyn (Gergen) Hill. He is a graduate of the South Dakota School of the Mines and Technology. Cy served his country in the US Army. On July 27, 1985 he married Susan Daul. He was a mechanical engineer, working for 30 years with Procter & Gamble and also 6 years with Schreiber Foods. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, Allouez and the Fr. Claude Allouez Knights of Columbus, Council #10714. Cy had a love for all sports, especially sailing in Door County and skiing, avid Packer fan, most of all he enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Hill; two daughters, Lucy (fiancé Ted Andrews), Jane Hill; two brothers, Lanny and Dennis Hill of South Dakota; Susan’s family, Mary (Lee) Erickson, Stephen (Vicky) Daul, Michael (Judy) Daul, James Daul; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Cy is preceded in death by his sister, Denise Markve.
Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Dr., Green Bay, on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 9:00am to 10:45am. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Cy valued education and loved children, therefore, in lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund is being established for Father Allouez Catholic School of Resurrection and St. Matthew Parishes.
