Alberta Alma  Golueke (Giese)
Alberta Alma (Giese) Golueke, age 85, of Allouez, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016. The daughter of the late Alfred F. and Alma H. (Dellis) Giese was born December 15, 1930 in Brothertown. She married Nicholas F. Golueke on September 2, 1950, whom she met while working at the Stiller Company as a bookkeeper. Her many hobbies included: rummage sales, ceramics, and long car rides with her son Al. Alberta had a fondness for Christmas, snowmen, and her special four legged friend Cocoa. She was a member of St. Willebrord Catholic Parish in Green Bay.
Alberta loved her family dearly, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those surviving her include her daughter Dianne Kriegel, two sons: Alan and Dennis (Sue); grandchildren: William (Sherri) Kriegel, Joseph (Dawn) Kriegel, Andrew (fiancé Shannon) Kriegel, and Jessica Kriegel; great-grandchildren: Zachary, Nicholas, Matthew, Mariah and Emily. She is further survived by her sister Mary Lou Banta; brother Dale (Arlene) Giese; sister-in-law: Kay Giese; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nick; son-in-law Bill Kriegel; sisters: Henrietta (Harold) Prichard, Elizabeth Denis; brother, Robert Giese and her twin brother Alvin (Doris); as well as sister-in-law Josephine (Joseph) Wheeler; and brothers-in-law: Robert Banta and Charles (Juel) Golueke.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Thursday, October 6, from 4-6pm. Funeral service for Alberta will follow at 6pm with Rev. Andrew Cribben, O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences at www.cotterfuneralhome.com
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of Home Instead Senior Care, especially Sharon and Audrey, as well as the caregivers and staff of Unity Hospice, including Chaplain Bob, for their care, concern and attention.
We would also like to extend our deep thanks to our brother Al for not only his extraordinary care over the last several years, but also for giving Mom the ability to live her last days in the comfort of home.
