Obituary for Andrew G. Rosek Jr.

Andrew G. Rosek Jr.
Andrew G. Rosek, Jr., age 92, of Glenmore, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016. The son of the late Andrew G. Rosek Sr. and Frances Siva was born July 3, 1924 in Denmark. Andrew married Dorothy Vanden Berg on June 7, 1947 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. A man of profound faith, Andrew would pray the rosary and attend mass often. He farmed for many years on his own dairy farm in Glenmore. Andrew enjoyed playing the concertina, and had his own polka band.
He is survived by his children: Mary Lou (Randy) Vaillant, Gerard (Sue) Rosek, Theresa (Ron) Paszkiewcz, Richard (Bonnie) Rosek, Barbara (Lindsay) Klevesahl, Steve (Sue) Rosek and Carolyn (Dave) Hermans; 22 grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren and a sister Martha (Marvin) VangenLangenBerg.
In addition to his parents and wife, Dorothy, Andrew was preceded in death by a son Marvin Rosek; son-in-law Bruce Paszkiewcz; brothers: Anton, Joe, Frank, George and Edward; sisters: Frances, Mary and Sophie.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel, 536 County Road R, Denmark, on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4-8pm with a rosary service to conclude the evening. Family and friends are asked to meet at St. Patrick Oratory, 211 N. Maple Avenue, Green Bay, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am with the Rev. Canon Antoine Boucheron officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Glenmore.
The family respectfully requests flowers not be sent but welcome donations for masses at the Oratory.
Our family would like to extend a warm thank you to the caregivers from Unity Hospice and Wyndemere Estates for everything they did for our dad and family.
