Vera Adell Smet (Schneider)
Vera Adell Smet, age 85, of De Pere, was welcomed into heaven and rejoined with her husband Jerry on Monday, January 9, 2017. She married Jerome (Jerry) Smet on August 5, 1950 in De Pere, and together shared 12 wonderful children. Vera enjoyed crafting, cheating at cards, going up north and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Kris (Gary) DeGreef, David (special friend Debbie), Darlene (Joe) Meurer, Deb (John) Titulaer, Linda (the late Mike) Fulton, Theresa (Roger) VanNuland, John, Paul (Yvette), Frank, Marie (Jeff) Sonnabend, Beth (Tom) Criss and Alvin (Sue); grandchildren: Ashley, Darius, David, Amanda, Amber, David, Jennifer, Jerry, Joe Jr., Liz, Tricia, Mel, Alex, Kassandra, Sarah, Shawn, Dan, Jesse, Joe, Rob, Wendy, Ben, Cory, Jamie, DJ, Jessica, Kimberly, Zach, Calvin, Casey, Craig, Jennifer, Liz, Nicole, Sarah, Tyler, Kira and Tony; great-grandchildren: Karlee, Kira, Ava, Giselle, Julian, Cecilia, Emily, Evelyn, Harper, Henry, Joe, Leroy, Lilly, Samantha, Sidney, Tyler, Ashtyn, Brailyn, Brittany, Jace, Katelynn, Lincoln, Lyla, Mason, Addison, Conner, Emily, Gordon, Kayla, Lexi, Maddie, Noah, Perry, Peyton, Robert, Savannah, Trent, Trinity, Aubri, Brady, Caden, Caleb, Carter, Anna, Brooklynn, Devon, Kaia, Rylee, Alec, Alicia, Aria, Audrina, Erica, Levi, Macy, Raelle, Audrey, Jerome, Lillian,. Makenzie, Mayah, Meadow, and five more great-grands on the way, and 3 great-great-grandchildren: Oliver, Peyton and Perry; a sister Gracie (Bob) Roberts, brother Marvin (Sharon) Schneider, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry and parents, as well as two grandchildren, Noel and Dean, and brother: Robert Schneider.
Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere, on Saturday, January 14, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with the Rev. Binu Varghese, O.Praem officiating. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
