Obituary for Patrick Jon Bonfigt

Patrick Jon Bonfigt
Patrick Bonfigt, 62, De Pere, was welcomed home by his parents on March 18, 2017 after a hard fought battle with cancer surrounded by family. On May 20, 1954, he was born to Herbert and Betty Lou Bonfigt. He was a graduate of East De Pere High School and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay. Patrick worked for C.A. Lawton Co. in De Pere for 32 years. After retirement he spent his summers at Pelican Lake fishing and relaxing with family and friends. He took up woodworking and his wooden fish, pelicans and loons are displayed throughout the campground at Weaver’s resort. He also enjoyed gardening, snow and water skiing, and riding his Harley.
Survivors include his daughter, Kelly (Corey) O’Connell; grandchildren, Chloe, Calvin, and Kendall; siblings, Jerry (Sandy) Bonfigt, Antigo; Tom (Karen) Bonfigt, De Pere; Mike (Marilyn) Bonfigt, De Pere; Betty Jo Bonfigt, De Pere; nieces and nephews; his former wife and friend, Barb Klevesahl (Lindsay) and his dog, Peggy Sue.
Patrick was preceded in death by his nephew, Justin Bonfigt.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere on Wednesday, March 22, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
The family would like to thank his caregivers from the Bellin Cancer Team and Unity Hospice, as well as his “personal nurses” Ratchet, Cratchet, Scratchet, and Patchet at home.
