Obituary for Arthur James "Art" Williams

Arthur James "Art" Williams
Arthur J. “Art” Williams, age 76, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born on December 7, 1940 in Marquette Michigan to the late Henry Williams and Ermine (Menard) (Williams) Murphy. He graduated from Freedom High School, with the class of 1959 and went on to join the Navy, where he served during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a radio operator. On February 11, 1961, he married Kathleen Fehrman, who preceded him in death on July 28, 2008. Art worked in the broadcasting industry as an engineer for the majority of his life. His career took him to WLUK-TV, the FBI as a radio operator, KTVO-TV, Kirksville, MO, UWGB in the Tele-production Center, and for 25 years with WBAY-TV, where he retired as Chief Engineer. On March 24, 2017, Art married Tracey Reindl.

Art enjoyed many things in life. One of his passions was bread baking and cooking. He enjoyed sharing his creations and was especially proud of his TV Station Chili. Art loved Karaoke, hanging out with his engineering buddies, and singing with the church choir.

Art is survived by his wife, Tracey (Reindl) Williams, son, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Williams, New London; daughters; Julie (Hi) Trinh, Green Bay, and Jennifer Williams, Oshkosh; grandchildren Amanda (Paislee House) Williams, Taylor Williams, Jasmine Trinh, Tyler Williams, Jordan Williams and Samantha Williams. He is further survived by his great grandchildren, Lexie, Alithea and Callum.
