Matthew J. Collins, 35, Ashwaubenon, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. The son of Colleen Mary Collins and James Donald Keon was born on January 2, 1982 in Green Bay. Matt married Valery Deterville on May 18, 2013. He was a 2000 graduate of Preble High School and then went on to school at Wyoming Technical College. He worked at Valley Packaging Supply. Matt loved fishing, bird hunting, boating, drinking beer on his deck, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Valery; children: Olivia, Matt, and Reed; their dogs, Walle and Eve; mom, Colleen Collins; stepdad, Bob Steinbrecher; dad, James Keon; stepmom, Tina Keon; mother and father-in-law, Bill (Cheryl) Deterville; brother, Ross (Amy) Keon and their son, Ace; sister, Kendra Keon; sisters-in-law, Sarah (Michael) Troup and their kids, Kendall, Jenson, and Andie; Amber (Greg) Binsfeld and their kids, Kaylee and Camden; brothers-in-law, Eric Deterville and Kelly Flynn and their children, Kenzie and Dylan; maternal grandma, Sally Collins; paternal grandparents, Dick (Mary) Keon; Jerry (Jean) McNamara; mother of Olivia and Matt, Amy Malcheski; many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, James “Smiley” Collins; and uncle, Pat Collins.
