Obituary for William Herbert ""Bill"" Roebke

William Herbert ""Bill""  Roebke

William H. (Bill) Roebke, 76, Crivitz, formerly of Wrightstown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 21, 2017, after a Canadian fishing trip. On August 27, 1940 he was born to the late Herbert and Alma (Giese) Roebke. He was baptized at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wrightstown.
It was May 1957 when Bill graduated from Wrightstown High School at the age of 16. He then began working at A&P Supermarket until he was drafted to the U.S. Army, serving from October 7, 1963 until his honorable discharge on October 4, 1965. As a PFC he was stationed in Germany where he was a radio teletype operator. After service he was employed at Super Valu for 29 years where he worked his way up to warehouse manager. Bill was also a dedicated volunteer with the Wrightstown Fire Department from 1966 to 1977. After retiring he moved to the family cabin in Crivitz to enjoy the great outdoors and do more fishing. He was a fan of NASCAR racing, Packers, Brewers and loved going on annual trips to Canada, Las Vegas, and warm places.
Bill is survived by his children, Scott and Darlene Roebke of Wrightstown, Karmen and Randy Lemke of Kaukauna, Christopher Roebke of Wrightstown; grandchildren, Amanda Roebke and her special friend Kacy Pamperin of Wrightstown, Ryan Roebke of Greenleaf, Kimberly and Brandon Schneider of Hilbert, Lauren, Lindsay, and Leah Lemke all of Kaukauna; great-grandchildren, Owen Roebke, Ayla Pamperin, Brantley and Cooper Schneider; and special friends Keith Kralovetz and Lori Ranallo of Crivitz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joanne and Sandra Roebke.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Sunday, August 27, 2017 after 2:00pm until the time of Christian funeral service at 5:00pm with Major Bob and Ruth Fay officiating. Military Honors will be accorded immediately following. Interment in St. John Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Wrightstown. Online condolences may be sent to www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
