Obituary for Agnes Thomson (Lee)

Agnes Thomson (Lee)
Agnes Thomson, 95, Bellevue, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017. She was born May 8, 1922 to the late John and Ellen (Fitzgerald) Lee. Agnes graduated from East Green Bay High School. Agnes married Francis Thomson on May 3, 1947 at St. John Catholic Church in Green Bay and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2010. In 1949 Agnes and Francis moved to Gillett where they owned a Chevrolet Dealership and went on to build and operate Sleepy Hollow Motel in 1955.
Agnes always kept busy. She really enjoyed playing cards. Gardening took up much of her time in the summer, including vegetables that the entire family grew and sold in order to pay for the children’s education. Agnes and Francis enjoyed their time with their Friday night fish fry friends and the many people they spent time with through American Family.
Survivors include her children: Michael (Annie) Thomson; Patrick “Tuffy” Thomson; Jean (Tom) Lang; Roger (Karen) Thomson; Janice (Brian) Jagodinsky; Jackie (Bob) Mortensen; grandchildren: Lindsey (Erik) Holstad; Kari (Josh) Jahnke; Stephen Thomson; Britta (Scott) Vettraino; Bridget (Kelly) Thomson; Brynna (Dave) Coutley; David Lang; Bennett (Britta) Lang; Derrick (Melissa) Jagodinsky; Joel (Beth) Jagodinsky; Kelly (Paul) Kauders; Alec, Erin, Adam, and Sam Mortensen; great-grandchildren: Aria, Aidan, and Arissa Vettraino; Kieran and Lilly Qualley; Hadley and Daphne Holstad; Lilly Lang; Eli Jagodinsky; Theodore and Arthur Kauders; sister-in-law, Joyce Thomson; brother-in-law, Gerald Tease; special friends and neighbors, Dick and Betty Freitag, Laura and Pete; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Agnes was preceded in death by her grandson, Ethan Lang; sisters: Margaret Lee; Virginia (Leslie) Krouth; Dorothy Tease; Katherine Lee; brother, Francis Lee.
Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr, Allouez, on Wednesday, December 13, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes will be celebrated at 11:00am with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Resurrection Catholic Church, and Unity Hospice have been established.
Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at both Unity Hospice and Autumns Promise, as well as her special caregivers, Debbie, Cheryl and Steve, Meghan, and Cindy.
