Condolence: This seemed the best way to express my deepest sympathy to Shirl's family although somewhat impersonal. Your Mum was very dear to me. Although your parents were never close to the scene of their first meeting, we always stayed connected. Losing close friends and relatives whom I cherish, is somewhat routine at my age but still hurtful.
The obituary was eloquent, beautifully written and true. She was so proud of you all!. Please know that your mother. you and her extended family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I recall babysitting for all the kids when I was a young teen, so that Shirley and Jim could get a night out...Her strength and kindness always inspired me...She was a gentle and joyful spirit and a wonderful neighbor in old Allouez of the 1960-70--80-90-'s
...Invisible hugs to her kids as we mourn the passing of their mom.
