Obituary for David Lee Knoll

David Lee  Knoll
David L. Knoll, Denmark, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was born December 23, 1946 in De Pere, son of the late Frank and Angeline (Baumgart) Knoll. David graduated from East De Pere High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Mary Wilmet Stencil on October 15, 1994 in Greenleaf.

He worked as a plasterer for many years and enjoyed helping out on his step-daughter's farm during retirement.

David was a member of the Denmark American Legion Post 363 and he enjoyed working the concession stands at baseball games. He loved working on Tom Brumlic's pit crew and attended as many stock car races as he could.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; one daughter, Cheryl; daughter-in-law, Sally Knoll; step-children: Lora (John) Aberle, Ken (Monica) Stencil, Amy (Buddy) Kroll, Kim Stencil, and Kevin (Ann) Stencil; grandchildren: Carmen, Jeffrey, Dillion, Becky, Jordan, and Reece; many step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Travis; his grandson and namesake, Daven; step-daughter Lisa Bricker; and many sisters- and brothers-in-law.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, April 3, from 2:00pm until the time of funeral service at 6:00pm at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel, 536 County R, Denmark, with Sr. Gerri Krautkramer officiating. Military Honors will conclude the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
